White (Day 3179)

The weather wasn't too grim first thing this morning as  my beautiful wife loaded Sigyn into the truck and zoomed across to Stromness.
Shortly afterwards I headed to the wilds of Harray prepared for a day of "fitting a kitchen sink and connecting up a shower room". I arrived to find that the kitchen sink wasn't ready to fit. The shower room, although the shower tray has been fitted and the floor has been tiled is lacking in timber stud work to support the plasterboard which is yet to be fitted around the shower tray. Although there appears to be hot and cold supplies for a washbasin, there is no waste pipe. More concerning is the complete absence of any waste pipe for the WC, despite a concealed cistern having been fitted in a void in a wall (where it is very likely to freeze). All in all the job is a bit of a shambles and there is nothing I can really do with it at the moment. The customer has no idea where connections to drainage can be made and I am not keen to start digging up their driveway to locate it.
The rest of my day has been spent doing a few things around the house as the weather turned progressively worse.
