Gym
I decided towards the end of last year that I really did need to do something additional to running and cycling.
I can run reasonably well for someone of my vintage, but a dwindling strength is becoming ever more apparent.
Today was my second session, another one Thursday. But, I'm not a fan of the gym, I'd far rather have the wind in my hair, landscapes to appreciate and birdsong as a soundtrack.
I'm not sure if I'll be one of those gym-goers who only manages January, but right now I'll follow my mum's outlook 'use it or lose it'.
I'm also rather expecting an improvement in my running times too.
