Hosta (la vista, baby)

Wow, I'm feeling so much better today. These sorts of experiences really make you thankful for general good health. Amazing to have energy again and be pain free. Jaw's stiff and my face is still swollen but no soreness.

Cooked up a storm for some friends who came round for lunch - Ottolenghi's Lamb Cutlets with Fig, Goat's Cheese and Walnut Salad (I had the more easily chewable macaroni and cheese, mind you...) Followed by Scottish raspberries and cream. Yum.

Then we took a wander around the garden. The hostas are huge just now and have been, so far, snail-free. I liked how the rain drops had gathered in the folds. (I'm fond of Hostas because Monty Don always seems to be doing something with his whenever he's on Gardener's World..)
