Whistling

Not the best conditions for football, with Storm Jocelyn’s 50mph winds whistling around Valley Parade, but the ground staff had worked hard to get the pitch playable after it had been frozen solid three days ago and then had a full day’s rain today.

City were hosting Salford, who are having a similarly disappointing season. The sides traded goals in the opening twenty minutes, but thereafter the ball seemed to spend more time in the air above the centre circle than doing anything productive. 

1-1 it finished. Luckily the trains were still running ok to get me home safely.
