The entrance...

...to the Grimondet chairlift...

Open for the first time today - access to runs 17 and 18! An oldish 2 person chair - long and very slow...

Entrance is gained by a contactless key card which, these days, you have in a special zipped pocket on your left sleeve. You simply wave it at the machine, and the turnstile opens as if by magic...

In the old days you had to root about for your pass at every lift, and insert it in the slot - retractable lines were the way to go ;)

In the very old days the pass was on a string round your neck, and you had to show it to a lift attendant every time - this meant unzipping of jackets, which was a real pain in bad weather! 

Anyway - run #18 was the favourite for today, so we did it twice - the second time for Par1 ;)
