I found a wooly hat pattern that was easy to crochet, so I brought out one of my crochet needles and started with a yarn that was meant for something else. That something else will have to wait, no rush with it... I'm not likely to we are a knitted west to work anyway... :D So, a crochet hat that is made with rows of stitches, and the last 3-4 cm are half stitches...or what they're called when you don't catch the yarn with the needle the last turn, just the first loop... I don't know how to explain it. It creates a visible turn, so the end that'll be the top of the hat isn't as wide as the bottom... Anyone got that?? :D
Mine is 37 cm, because I also want it folded up. You crochet however many rows you need, in the back part of the stitch, that way it creates a stretch, that is... normally you go under the whole stitch with the needle, but now you just use the back (inner) 'thread'. When it's wide enough, you crochet it together as a tube, close the top, attached the fold up and make a yarn ball - if wanted.
I need a warmer wooly hat, that stays on and cover my ears, when it's cold. And, this yarn has a bit of a Springtime feeling to it too.
Off to work tomorrow, bringing a blueberry smoothie hoping it'll make my stomach behave. It still act up when I move around a lot. Soooo...
