Today we had a speaker at our group who gave us a potted history of Robert Burns, as Burns Nicht is tomorrow.  David Vennard is a professional speaker and he was most entertaining and informative.  He gave us a rendering of 'Tam O'Shanter' after explaining the whole poem to us, in case we didn't get the broad Scots of the poem.  My Belfast friend was very grateful indeed for that.

It was the best rendering of the poem I have ever heard, and I have heard quite a few over the years.

No Burns Supper for us tomorrow sadly!

In the afternoon we took advantage of a sunny interval and walked down at RoukenGlen.  The swans were all over the place so I only managed to photograph some of them.
