Mrs BB suggested a walk around fields surrounding Monmouth (South Wales, UK) and popping into a Travel Agent to price up a holiday abroad next January as she's struggling with the wind, rain and short days this month. After doing this, enjoying a coffee, and some shopping we walked back to our car through the fortified Gate on the Monnow Bridge (1272AD) over the River Monnow.

There was a family feeding the ducks and a swan so I made the most of the opportunity, taking a photo' of the Gate House on the bridge for this weeks W-I-D-E on Wednesday Challenge theme of 'entrance/exit'

The mobile mechanic finished working on my car after a couple of hours today and about eight hours yesterday when he finished at 9.30pm! I dread the e-mail with the invoice - the joys of keeping an old car on the road!
