Jack Through The Bulrushes

Jack heron was standing on the island landing stage when Mishka and I walked round the lake this afternoon. I got quite a good image of him in flight but have posted one of those recently. 

I'm sitting here waiting for Thames Water. The issues with our sewer, that I thought I'd solved, have turned out to be caused by a blockage out in the road again. Last time it was unblocked I was told it wouldn't happen again. They're due between 8:00 and 9:00 pm. No sign of them and it has gone nine. I've been waiting for them to sort it since Sunday morning. :(
