Day 024/24. Blow into this sir......

Two early Hampshire police breath test kits.
The top one was used in the 1970's by Hampshire police and used a glass tube full of crystals that would turn green if alcohol was present. The ends of the glass tube would be sawn off, one end a plastic bag, the other the mouthpiece. Blow into the tube until the bag is full. A crude, but effective,portable chemisty lab.
The bottom is a later, 1995 vintage electonic breath tester. A red fail light meant a trip to the station.
