Lazy Day on the Gulf of Mexico

We decided to chill at Em’s house today. We spent the morning working on The NY Times word games while drinking tea, followed by a leisurely couple of hours drifting in the delightfully warm Gulf of Mexico. I was startled by the little silver fish that seemed to enjoy bumping into my legs, but Em assured me that there were no sharks in the area.

We finished the day with a delightful dinner out at one of the neighborhood restaurants.

Tomorrow we’ll continue our foray into the regional Mexican history.
