Soutampton's Floozie in the Jacuzzi
During our brief visit to Dublin's Fair City just over a week ago I took many photographs which I was unable to blip. One of these was of the statue of the Anna Livia monument - a personification of the River Liffey - named after the character Anna Livia Plurabelle in James Joyce's Finnegans Wake. That statue is more commonly referred to by Dubliners as The Floozie in the Jacuzzi or ....well I'll spare you the other moniker by which it is also known.
While wandering around the University of Southampton campus today I came across this piece by the Irish surrealist sculptor F E McWilliam. Its formal title is Puy de Dome.
