RAF Little Walden

I had a walk on Bowsers Lane by the old aerodrome, RAF little Walden. Someone has put up this sign to mark the importance of the place in our history. I went home and came back with a telephoto zoom to get this photo. The building behind is part of the airfield infrastructure that was I guess admin offices. It seems empty and unused at the moment.

Nunn's Wood is on the opposite side of the road and the boots are still hanging in there... Extra

The photo taken on 29th Dec 1943 looks to show the aerodrome in the final stages of construction. This building in the main photo is part of the group on the very bottom of this photo. 

This group of trees can be seen at the top right of the photo...
