Recovery takes time

Walking through Christchurch Square today, demolition at last taking place of these buildings damaged in 2011 earthquake. There are many new buildings, lots of buzzy cafes, and an international buskers festival to lighten the atmosphere but it’s hard to ignore the effects of that day
