Bridge over stream
While out walking along the river walk with my daughter and the grand-dog I saw this bridge over the winding stream, the water side of the bridge had pictures relating to the town and on the road side were these words by Horace Walpole 1749 -
'There are sweet meadows falling down a hill, and rising again on t'other side of the prettiest winding stream you ever saw'
It was the same both sides of the bridge, I thought it was unusual and liked it, the other thing I noticed was no graffiti.
The stream runs through the middle of the town but didn't feel like it, it's a lovely walk with winding paths, lots of little foot bridges over the stream and one part of the path took you past the large pond which had ducks with their ducklings of various ages, they were so cute.
