Pink Ribbon
Sometimes I just seem to need peace and quiet and a place to switch off my mind so I head back to the Peace Garden at The Friars (our local Carmelite Priory). Thankfully it was another beautiful winter's day and I was in the privileged position of having the whole garden to myself. I just felt calmer and instantly at ease and I could let any worries and concerns just melt away.
It's also a garden of remembrance and I've started to notice that people now leave little ribbons in various colours tied to some of the plants and shrubs. The diminutive little pink ribbon in my image was highlighted by a shaft of pale early afternoon light against the stems and foliage and just made me stop and think of who had placed it there and why.
