The mature trees in winter

I love the outline of silhouetted trees in woods, copses and the hedgerows of our Cotswold landscapes. I say this in the plural as there are so many different aspects to the Cotswold, the late farmlands on the the 'tops', the steep valley etched by the springs and streams , and the wide open vale of the River Severn.

Today the I pointed the camera as close as possible to the sun to get a backlit image. It hasn't quite worked but I still think it is worth blipping.
