A stroll around Turin

I had the pleasure of visiting Turin (Torino) in Italy for a conference this week. It is the second major business and cultural centre in northern Italy, capital of the Piedmont region, located mainly on the left bank of the Po River, in front of Susa Valley and surrounded by the western Alpine arch.

It was 28*C when we arrived. A bit of a shock to the system. We managed a walk around the cultural centre for about 2 hours. We headed for shade in the these fantastic marble arcades. I was escorted along one of these by a mime artist....the off for drinks and a meal.
