Face to Face.
Today is the day we celebrated the Life and Work of Robert Burns. The programme for today was different. The venue was at Mr and Mrs Dog’s home in Edinburgh.
Pat had prepared most of the food in a gluten fee menu, including haggis and after we had loaded up the car we headed off to Edinburgh.
Depositing Pat at the Scottish Arts Club, I then headed off a journey which involved visiting IKEA, Costco and Sainsbury’s; all conveniently situated next to each other.
Purchases completed and the car topped with the best value petrol in Scotland, it was back to the Art Club, to pick up Pat and Wilma before returning to Chateau Dog in the Grange.
The meal was splendid as expected. The conversation was sparkly and a grand time was had by all.
During my wandering through and around Edinburgh I paused to take several photographs of views and buildings which interested me.
None published today, though as they were just not up to my standard.
Today’s entry shows a grouping of faces captured in Mr Dog’s study. Make of it what you will.
All too soon, it was time to pack up and head back to our respective homes. Wilma booked an Uber taxi on her phone and I relied on Apple Siri to guide us back home using the quickest route.
At home, I celebrated Rabbie with a whisky and green ginger wine libation. Being the designated driver, I had not imbibed during the meal.
