Deer me

This was quite an interesting encounter for me. I had the deer in my viewfinder on my camera and to me we were having a staring competition. I was taking photos! The deer was in a cul de sac of fences with me on the main path. 
It was only when I put the camera down that the deer seemed a bit spooked. I can only assume that it was seeing MY eyes that spooked it! 

Anyway! Honoured to have had eye contact 

The stonechat was showing well as well - I could hear it saying "Do I look better on this twig, or perhaps this one?"
Very obliging nature today. Also, a chiff chaff on show
