Brothers
Having a quiet time before tea. They are now both in bed and pretty much asleep. One of the 3 bedtime story books they chose was Dogger, by Shirley Hughes and favourite of their father about that age. I'd forgotten what a well written story it is. just as good as it was 40 years ago. The Grumpy Fairies from the library was good too and even Mr Tickle went down well.
The stories are followed by Granny singing a selection of gentle Scottish song and finishing up with Twinkle Twinkle. We've been singing this at bedtime since the six year old was a tiny baby and he goes out like a light after the first rendition, with his four year old brother not far behind. Love them to bits.
