Recycling
The different departments in one of the stores in town are being shuffled around. Downstairs used to be pet food, cleaning supplies, totes, housewares, and small appliances; the main floor was toys, gardening supplies, paint, and hardware; and the upstairs was bedding, bathroom supplies and other general things for around the house. Tourists generally wouldn't want the things that were on the main floor, so now things that would attract them when they enter the shop will be on the main floor. Lots of work being done but the shop is staying open. The young man in the photo had just put a trolley load of cardboard in the recycling bin.
We've talked to some of the staff, and they mostly seem okay with the changes. Reactions from locals are mixed. I laughed at some of the comments posted in a window at one of the entrances (in extra). We told a couple of the staff that it's good to keep us seniors on our toes, having to find things we need in places we aren't used to looking for them.
