Busy … sort of
Thank you for all the lovely comments for yesterday’s blip. I do appreciate them and I apologise for not having responded, or dipped into journals. There seems to be so much to do at the moment.
I made yoghurt after breakfast then gave our bedroom furniture a good clean and started cleaning the pictures before they go up on the wall. MrMacD meanwhile installed the brackets on the conservatory windows so we can get accurate measurements for those blinds. After lunch we walked down to Mitre10 to purchase a toilet roll holder and towel rail for the “garden loo” and some LED light bulbs for the light fitting for MrMacD’s “control room” downstairs. As we were about to leave Mitre10 to walk home there was some heavy rain. It eased off a little so we walked across to Smith’s City where we pretended to look at cookers while we waited for it to ease off some more. We then dashed across to Countdown to buy some mushrooms and by the time that was done the rain had stopped so we were able to walk home without getting soaked. About ten minutes later the rain started again, this time with hail, so we had a lucky escape.
I did the vegetable chopping for MrMacD while he cooked supper and also a frittata to take to a gathering tomorrow.
Now it’s time for bed and we don’t seem to have achieved everything I thought we should. I guess there’s always tomorrow.
We saw this lovely display of agapanthus in front of the hospital as we walked home.
