Bridge No 9

A visit by rail to Sawley today to visit Deborah's dad. There is a beautiful skewed arch railway bridge going into Long Eaton Station (formerly Sawley Junction) from the south. This picture exaggerates the skew! It has a new number but it used to be Bridge 9.

Pleased to report we saw a business lady using a filofax - what a refreshing change!

Extras - a rather lovely patio on a 'Riverboat' styled houseboat on the nearby Erewash canal and you can't visit Sawley without being aware of the cooling towers of the power station which dominate the landscape.
