Want to Lose a Finger?

We are "bird-sitting" this African Gray for a friend, who called me from New York today to remind me not to put my finger in the cage. Really! One look at that beak is all the reminder I need.

We have taken care of this bird before, and he is quite entertaining, as he has a large repertoire of words and phrases, most of which are unprintable here. He is very messy, so has to stay downstairs in the garage/workroom. If you stand right in front of him, he won't talk. But if you are in the room doing other things, he really lets loose! Along with his colorful vocabulary, he quack like a duck and meows like a cat.
I never enjoyed ironing so much.
