Breakfast at The Ivy

Tuesday
After a good nights sleep we met up with the boys in the reception area. It was windy but dry as we made our way to a cafe for breakfast. We had planned on eating at The Square but it was closed so we ended up at The Ivy. A delicious breakfast in beautiful surroundings. The waiter asked if we were there for a celebration and we said yes for Mike’s birthday. He was treated to a free coffee and they brought out a small cake with a candle :)
The weather was horrible all the way back. There was trouble with the bus we were on as the doors had trouble closing. They had trouble getting a man in a wheelchair on. They had just flown back from holiday and their train was cancelled but they had managed to book the bus.
The bus stopped at a Park and ride and two people got off and again the doors would not close. We eventually had to change buses in Perth and got back to Inverness nearly an hour late.
Richard and David had made it back before us. No buses back to Dingwall till after four so we drove up to Richards and picked David up.
Back home and I had 10 minutes before Brownies !
All went well celebrating Burns Night. Mike took David home while I was there.
A quick Pizza for tea as the next storm hit us with heavy rain.
Lots of flooded fields on the way home so all this extra rain is not going to help.
