Malta bus

We used to love going on the old Malta buses. They were owned by individual families at one time. They were in various states of disrepair and some drivers liked to joke that they had one previous owner, Queen Victoria. One we went on had a rope from the driver’s door that went round the back of his seat and was tied to the engine mounting. The driver got on through the passenger door. After a while we noticed we never got any change so we started just giving them an approximate amount of money. Now it’s all sanitised by the EU and just boring Arriva buses.
