Nēnē, or Hawaiian goose
The world's rarest goose.
We are down in Bristol visiting my brother and have had a grand day out at Slimbridge Wetland Centre. In the 1950s, there were only 30 nēnēs left in the world. After successful breeding programs here and elsewhere, there are now over 1000 back in Hawaii.
