Variety vs Balance

As the snow melts, so things begin to emerge. I spotted a leaf and was drawn to it, then another and I searched for more. They sat in little wells, or depressions in the snow, as if protected.

I thought initially, I have three dark ones, I should find another orange one to balance the set. Then I thought, in another I have two leaves, so that's an odd one as well. Also, one has a seed pod on it, so that's different. 

Actually, I have plenty of variety, but is there enough balance? Two have blue snow, two have white. Two have stems, two do not. The whole is more that the sum of the parts. But how many would stop to think about such things?
