Went to a visit a neighbouring foodbank this morning z NH and CO, mainly to look at their food storage. They are part of the Trussell Trust and so a much bigger operation with a couple if paid staff as well as volunteers. The manager was a little patronising but everyone was friendly and we got some good reports on using shipping containers, which we had started to think about.
Did a couple of chores at home and then drove over to collect Dad and take him out for a belated 95th birthday lunch. J met us at the pub. They both enjoyed their meals but I didn’t - won’t go there again. Nonetheless it was a very nice time and Dad enjoyed it. Just remembered in time to take a photo! Dropped him back home, went in for a cup of tea and to do some online shopping for him( macular degeneration supplements which had been recommended to him by his optician) . Called in JR’s on the way home to return her crockery and she mentioned that she’d like to see The Kite Runner so thats her birthday present sorted!
