Day's End

.... and I was bl**dy lucky to get a blip at all, to be honest. Monday is not my favourite day. And today was made worse by the fact that we were scheduled to do a 2,000 metre test, as part of our training.

I don't think we ate properly yesterday, which didn't help; and I started twice, and failed twice. I got so cross with myself. Anyway, third time lucky, and I managed to plough through it, at a pace of 2.12.9 (per 500 metres) shaving a further 8.2 seconds off my time. I should have done better, so I'm still a bit cross.

And the other thing that is really really annoying me at the moment is that our cat Rani is being harassed by two other cats in the neighborhood. She's not young any more, and that blasted cat from next door comes and sits right outside Rani's cat door, and she daren't go out, unless I go with her. It's not right to be bullied in your own yard.

Sorry - rant over.

This whopper of a palm tree is in next door's yard, and I did like the way the sun made it all gold around the edges.
