"Adoration"
This is the "flipside" of the art installation I blipped yesterday - I rather like it and thought it justified its own place on blip.
Apparently the artist is Nadia Kawafi, Manchester-based with Spanish & Libyan heritage, and the piece is entitled "Adoration". Not being proficient in the art world (I freely admit that's a gross understatement!) I had difficulty interpreting it, so if you're interested the explanation reads as follows
“To the artist, adoration is an intense feeling of love and devotion towards a specific person or object. This love, often obsessive in nature, became the focal point of Kawafi’s illustration. The girl cradles a nondescript, luminous object that captures her unwavering attention. The close and intense framing accentuates her singular focus, highlighting the profound connection between her and the object. It emphasises a world where nothing else matters, capturing the essence of adoration”.
So now you know! :-)
