I've been sorting through old journals and notebooks and came across the entry for an encounter with an eclipse hunter in 1999.

This is Klaus.
We met in one of our dog walking parks where he had been camping for a couple of days before joining 40 other eclipse followers and their quest to witness the perfect solar eclipse.
He did and left a note on my door, writing it was the best he had seen in his 30 years of hunting eclipses around the world.

Those travels took him around the world eleven times, through and to 100 countries.
He would be 80 now and I wonder if he, and his trusty bike, are still on the hunt for another perfect solar eclipse.
