The Hungry Sea

This is a shot of the St Clair Esplanade. Very chilly, deserted and moody out tonight for sure. The sea wall here is being demolished by the relentless surf, huge holes have opened up in the pavement and swallowed up the seating and railings. We little human beings are trying crazily to hold back the force of nature in order to save buildings and lifestyles being gobbled up by the sea. We may be able to hold it back temporarily but in the end I think the sea will win. K
