Snowdrops in the Wood
I made sure I was down at Mitch’s by 8.30 to help him get ready for the person who had made an appointment to come at 9am. We had no idea who to expect. Eventually a woman arrived, one hour late, announcing she was a home carer. She sat on the sofa for an hour talking non-stop about her dogs, then left saying she would be back tomorrow. We both burst out laughing when she left. It will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings!
I came home, changed, picked up Geordie and headed to Shell Bay wood, where we felt like intruders. There was not a breath of wind or any sound to be heard. Only our footsteps and Geordie’s sniffs. We would walk a short way and stop and listen and there wasn’t even any bird song, just total silence. We saw no other person or dog, squirrel or deer. Almost eerie.
Thankfully there were snowdrops to photograph and I checked to see how the orange ladybirds were doing, I was glad to see they look fine and have obviously managed to shelter well from all the strong winds.
