Gerbera

In 1737, the gerbera plant was discovered by a botanist. This botanist worked with a German doctor: Traugott Gerber. The gerbera owes its name to this.
The gerbera belongs to the plant genus Asteraceae. Its origins lie in South Africa, Asia, South America and Tasmania.
The gerbera also represents innocence and the happiness of a simple life. A fun fact: the white gerbera was used at the wedding of King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima.
