Collegiate Church, Semple Trail

A good day checking out the Semple Trail, all was fine after the storms so I can go ahead with the walk on Saturday and again next week.

I spent more time looking at the main points of interest. The Collegiate Church goes back to 1504 and includes the tomb of John Sempill killed at the Battle of Flodden, (which I’ll need to swot up on).

Snowdrops in various place, especially lovely around the RSPB reserve where I was pleased to see a teal, what a spectacularly beautiful duck. Too far away to get a photo.

My replacement microwave arrived while I was out. I reckon the old one must have been about 20 years old. The delivery chap would have had to use the stairs. One of my neighbours has busted the lift by inadvertently ramming their bike in the door. There are perfectly secure bike stands outside so I’m not sure why they felt the need. Needless to say we will all have to pay a share of the repair, at least I’m not on the ground floor.
