Slow Travelling
The theme for MonoMonday is transport, and thought these little guys were transporting their homes very efficiently, albeit slowly. Shook them out of the mop bucket before using it (it's kept outside).
Extra of the classroom where I'll be teaching English on Wednesdays, in Mourão's "Universidade Sénior" - went in today to meet the director and decide on dates.
Thanks so much, all of you, for being so supportive of us yesterday, the Blip community really is a caring place.
Before I got up this morning, two policemen were knocking at our door. Basically apologising as much as they could without losing face, I think. And changed the document saying our car was impounded to one saying the document is impounded. Practically, not much difference, but we felt better, and more hopeful we can get it sorted. Plus, Cecílio has really gone out of his way to help us.
Gratefuls:
- the police making an effort to undo damage without us even going there
- it being confirmed that we have good friends
- a lovely meal tonight with Cecílio, Ermellinda, and her Mum, here at ours; I made the roast chicken that was meant for yesterday, plus a very English raspberry and whisky bread and butter pudding, which they liked
