A New Bird for Me

We drove to Bartow, Florida today to meet up with 6 other members of our church in Michigan. There was Lisa and I, Bobby and Linda. Walt and Becky, and Tim and Dee. We usually try to get together at least once down here, and it is always good to see them.

After lunch, 6 of us went to Circle B Bar Reserve...to see what we could see. At lunch, both Tim and Bobby said..."Last time we were there, we probably saw 60 alligators."

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The alligator count today? 6...yeah that's right...6. Both of them said..."Well, it must be because it's so cold." Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Still, it was a nice walk and I did get a new bird...a purple gallinule. I tried to warn the wading bird that there were alligators in the area, but wait...THERE WERE NO ALLIGATORS IN THE AREA!.

In the extras is an armadillo and one of the gators.
