President lessons
Another picture of our trip yesterday. It was just such a nice visit, that we wanted to share more and today we did not much that was blipworthy (reading in the sun, practicing for our road test and grant writing).
Today a picture made in the mansion of the Roosevelt family. Franklin D. Roosevelt was a very popular president (elected 4 terms in a row) and lead the US through WWII. We learned that part of his secret why he did so well is that he was extremely good at taking breaks from work (stamp collecting, sailing, etc). This picture was taken in the living room, further marking that point. I'd personally love to learn a bit of his break-taking skills. I am convinced that you can be more productive, especially in extremely demanding jobs like those, if you allow yourself regular, real, breaks, but I have not been able to master that skill myself. Any advice?
