Better day

Went looking for insects, but this cool weather seems to be keeping them under raps. Wimbledon fortnight so is it going to rain ?. Found this fungi growing among the Ivy on a Willow tree. Searching Google images would suggest it's a "Basidiomycetes"
"Basidiomycetes are filamentous fungi which reproduce sexually via the formation of specialized club-shaped end cells called basidia"
Any one know different?
