John Macleod

A new sculpture has appeared in the Duthie Park - that of John Macleod an Aberdonian who co-discovered Insulin and won a Nobel prize for the discovery. This was while he was working in Canada. He returned in later life to work at Aberdeen University and is buried nearby. His career is little known in the city and he is one of our unsung heroes.
