A Hungry Pheasant

A quiet day today as I didn't sleep well last night. Just a bit of listening to my audiobook, doing my jigsaw and reading the paper. This pheasant arrived in the garden twice this afternoon. It was looking longingly at the birds at the feeder and the cage underneath which prevented it getting at any dropped seeds. There were lots of birds visiting the feeders today including a greater spotted woodpecker, so I wasn't surprised to see the forecast of a potential frost tonight.
