Cover shots

I was very flattered when Michael Phillips asked if he could use two of my photos - one of Bennachie, and the other of the Bin - for the covers of books of George MacDonald's theological works which he has edited.

George MacDonald was a Scottish author, poet and congregational minister. He was a mentor to Lewis Carroll, and his fantasy writing influenced Tolkien and C. S. Lewis. He had a strong connection to Cullen, and in one of his (non-fantasy) novels, Malcolm, much of the action takes place in a thinly-fictionalised version of our house!

The books arrived this week, and I think they look good :)
