Changed the clocks, which is never a good idea for me to do, but still managed to get up and take Ottawacker Jr to his U13s game against OSU. They lost 5-1, but it as 1-1 at half time when Mattie switched out of goal… mind you, he did score an own goal (pretty sure it wasn’t to make the other keeper look bad)…

He has a new coach, called Iqan, whom I took to immediately. He reminds me of Philippe Coutinho physically. Young and enthusiastic. Gave L a ride with Mattie, partly to help his dad Tom (who is also a good Liverpool fan) be able to watch the Liverpool game at Luton. Pretty glad I didn’t see it in the end, as we were properly shite and only drew 1-1. We battered them really, but couldn’t score. Missed sitter after sitter. Salah was shite – and Luis Diaz scored a very late equalizer. His father has been kidnapped in Colombia, so he lifted his shirt with “Libertad para papa” written on it. Denied another blatant penalty too, when Van Dijk was hauled to the ground.

PM – Ottawacker Jr had his first goalkeeping session of the winter. Not brilliant. Four kids, all young, and he is by far the best. He needs to be pushed and I’m not sure he is going to get that. Plus, the Sooners Dome is a long, long, long way away.
