You've got to be a Marvel comics/films fan to get the title!
Continuing to be busy in Betty's old bedroom. More painting, taking doors off the bathroom cabinets, doing up the medicine cabinet, removing the old silicone and getting ready to apply new around the shower and shower front.
An unaccustomed job is re-grouting the floor tiles. I've never done that before but seen bathroom/kitchen fitters doing it, we improvised with a shower squeegee. We had some grey grout in a bag left over from 12 years ago, when the bathroom was first gutted and all new installed but the grout was darker in some places and lighter in others. Gave it a go and it looks good, especially when wet from wiping over with a big sponge!
Marlane is also covering the cupboard doors with sticky backed plastic, as seen on Blue Peter! Problem was when Betty inadvertently blocked the sink plug-hole with a pair of tights but also left the hot tap running. The ensuing flood of scalding water buckled the plastic covering on the original doors so Marlane managed to get it all off, appeared to be heat shrink fitted onto the MDF door so wasn't glued on. She (Betty) also, goodness knows how, broke one of the soft close hinges but my Chippy (carpenter/joiner) brother in law is coming tomorrow with a new pair of hinges for the one door.
It's a lot of work but it's going to be lovely when it's all finished.
