Heart-shaped Pug
Another day spent chez Pugglesworth while Mr PP continued to mend in hospital after his op. The physio had him on his feet and working through exercises at 8.30 this morning, no messing about! The patient cannot praise the medical team highly enough. The leg attached to the new hip has swollen considerably, but that's not surprising, really, when you think what surgery it's undergone. So all progressing in the right direction.
I'm glad I gardened yesterday as it has rained and is generally damper and cooler than yesterday. Went for a short walk with Bug Pugglesworth and his momma and poppa at lunchtime. Chilly, but refreshing. For some time BP curled up between my legs - not a terribly elegant pose, but note how heart-shaped the affectionate little pug is! Mr PP has a wedge between his legs to stop him accidentally trying to cross them - not as cuddly as this little dog.
The patient is hoping for fewer interruptions and less noise tonight in the hope he can sleep a bit, though it's not easy lying on his back. We shall see what tomorrow brings, and whether he's allowed home.
