Leaf portrait

This is a carpet remnant that we had in the loft and now use to make Rocky the cat's garden pen more comfortable for him to sit on. The green of this leaf against the heather hue of the carpet caught my eye and struck me as worthy of a blip. A mixed day. A volunteer driving job this morning,  which shouldn't have taken much more than half an hour, stretched to two hours because the lady I was taking to the GP surgery had got the time of her appointment wrong, and then it turned out she had been booked for  a telephone, rather than face to face, consultation. Happily, after a bit of negotiation with the receptionist, the doctor agreed to see her. On the plus side I had my first personal training session, a joint one with my daughter, for several weeks. Charlie, our trainer, didn't work us too hard but it seems to have helped the pain I've been having in my lower back since the weekend. Looks like I'll be fit enough to go bowling tomorrow!
