"GG Take My Picture"

Ellie really wanted me to buy her this stuffie for Valentine's Day; when I said, "No", she wanted a photo with it so I would remember if I changed my mind.

Today was my day to volunteer in Ellie's classroom and it was a disturbing day. One of the children threw the tub of crayons off the table and then started throwing everything on the shelves at the other children sitting nearby, the teacher simply continued to teach a lesson about sight reading to the students. A Special teacher's assistant was in the room and he kept telling the little girl to stop and pick everything up; she kept throwing more and more things around the room and the assistant left the room. WHY? When the child took the other kids workbooks out of a basket and started to destroy them I walked over to her and told her that was not okay and I took them away I was told to leave her alone so I walked away. I asked the teacher if the situation had gotten too far out of control and he tried to talk her into stopping with no success. Eventually, he called the principal and then escorted all the students out of the room as the principal and another helper came into the room to deal with the unruly child. The teacher looked for a place to take the children. The library and gymnasium were not available and we ended up in an empty classroom until the children returned and then we moved the children to another open space. I glanced into our classroom as two helpers were removing all the children's coats and backpacks into the hallway, chairs were thrown everywhere, the room was a shambles. Our kids picked up their belongings, except some things weren't found until right before it was time to go home. We had to figure out what to do with those kiddos for one and a half hours. I don't know what happened to the child, perhaps a parent came to pick her up. No one could touch the child! I don't know how I feel about the process mandated in these kind of situations. Now, I am home and I need to process payroll and write commission checks right now. See you tomorrow.
