Leo visits the vet

This is Tom, one of the lovely vets at Oakwood, with a very undignified-looking Leo. Serves him right! 

I came downstairs this morning to find a dead rat in the sitting room. We know that the neighbours down the lane have had an infestation recently which a pest control company had dealt with, but not knowing where Leo had found this one or whether or not it had eaten poison, P wanted him checked at the vet's.

Tom gave Leo a good going-over, but wanted to keep him in for observation and to give him an injection of Vitamin K, which apparently is an antidote to rat poison.

Leo is now back home and seems none the worse, but has medication to take for a week, and I've to keep a close eye on him. Fingers crossed for no more nasty surprises!
